About founders

Hey I am Nitin Dangwal and I am husband to the love of my life and father to a cute little toddler and I am also one of the co-founders of Shutterink. I have realized that being a husband and father has had a great influence on me. For instance marriage has taught me to listen well and to be patient; this turned out to be most essential trait of being a wedding photographer. Being a father has taught me to be empathetic, to give my kid space to learn of her own, to understand that something that could be a small thing for you like crossing a puddle, could be a big task for someone else; moreover my kid is teaching me to find moments of joy in every little thing.

Most of my life I have been the person who talks relatively less even when I am in group of best-est friends. However I think this has helped me in giving voice to my observations through photographs; showing the human connection, love, affection, the energy that flows around in a wedding environment. I found my photographs convey what I feel during the wedding OR what the bride or the groom or the parents may feel during the wedding.

I have been photographing since 2008 and found deep interest in photography since 2010. I started professional wedding photography in 2013 with establishment of Shutterink. I strive to create images that are strong on emotions, energy, shows family bond. I have strong interest in creating story telling images. Over the years I have developed taste in aesthetics, colors and design. These traits have helped Shutterink to create images which feels lively, full of emotions and conveys the story with apt editing.

Well I have a lot more to say but I guess that will contradict with me being the quieter one. So let’s keep few things for in person meeting as well. I don’t want to run out of stories to tell. 🙂

Hi, I am Sandeep Mohan. I am the better half of Shutterink and by that I mean I am the guy who brings energy, liveliness, mischieves, travel plans and good food on the table. Like Nitin, I am also a father, a husband but a lot more than that. I am a traveler, bad singer, a biker, trekking buff, and a street food lover as well.

My love for different things and different facets of life introduced me to wedding photography. I realize that how lucky I am to be a photographer. Most of my learning in life are from my experiences. Being a wedding photographer allows me to meet different people, different couples, families and I get to learn so much from their experiences. Knowing my clients and being a part of their stories to a certain extent helps my clients to establish a bond with me. This inspires me to capture their raw nature and true self.

I believe the type of images a person creates is kind of a reflection of the photographer himself; his experiences. If you bring positive energy with you, you will be able to see all the positivity around you. This will get reflected in your images, the moments that you capture and the editing you do to create final image.

In every wedding, it is a primary focus to be able to capture the highlights, to be able to look back and feel the exact same feeling you felt on your special day. From the moment we met Nitin & Sandeep we knew we'd have a laugh on our couples shoot in Agra. They made planning the trip from London easy.

This feeling is amazing!

When I realized I was going to have my wedding in India, my first concern was finding the right photographer who would capture my wedding the way I wanted. Secondly, it was important to us as a couple to be captured the way we are, and not what one would perceive a couple to be. Nitin and Sandeep constantly listened to the many ideas we had, and made us feel comfortable during our shoots and wedding. We weren’t forced to conform with an idea that they had, rather, they so easily worked with us to make our ideas and suggestions a reality. This comfort level that we shared with them is expressed through our amazing pictures. One example of how professional Nitin and Sandeep are is from our pre-shot day. We only had the one day to take our pre-shots, and Nitin and Sandeep did everything they could to make them perfect. At first, the weather was very humid and then, later, it began to rain very hard. Being the awesome photographers they are, they were able to take some great shots despite the crazy weather. One of our favourite shots from the preshot day is where Peeyush and I had to stand in the middle of the road with an umbrella in the pouring rain. The picture turned out so beautiful but it wouldn’t have been possible if Nitin and Sandeep hadn't been willing to get drenched in the rain. From having our belongings stolen by the cops, to the tripod getting hit by a bus, our day with them was made even more memorable. We were grateful for the way Nitin and Sandeep interacted with our family and friends at the wedding. They left such a great impression on all of them, that for future weddings, we already have cousins that want to hire them! Our wedding album is only a small testament to the hard work that Nitin and Sandeep put into making our wedding perfect. Each photograph is so perfectly captured, candid and full of life. After the wedding and to this day, I am able to contact them about any concerns and questions I have. It is obvious that I am a priority to them even though it has almost been 6 months since the wedding; and sitting thousands of miles away, this feeling is a blessing. We would definitely recommend Shutterink to couples who would like their memories captured so perfectly and beautifully!

Nitin and Sandeep were the first photographers I met when I started to look at photographers for my wedding. And I knew it then only that they were the ones whom I wanted to cover my wedding. Comfortable, easy and fun

Nitin and Sandeep took our pre-wedding photographs in Kasauli. We're not the best bride and groom to deal with - pretty uncooperative. But, Nitin and Sandeep got us very comfortable and were able to take the natural photos we were going for - no poses.
